  • As other commentators have observed, the harp brings to this piece a blend of piano-like and guitar-like characteristics. I've never heard this piece played on the harp before, but it works brilliantly. And how marvellously Isabelle Moretti plays it! Power, lyricism and delicacy -- all are at her command, and she deploys these resources to perfection. Brava!!!

  • sounds great on the harp!

  • If one only listens to the audio, it's almost like someone's playing a classical guitar with a simple piano accompaniment! :D Harps are sooo cool!

  • @CT2507 Ok, whatever. (P.S., you aren't the only guitar player in the world who makes recordings)

  • @XianXiuHong no one except u is talking about a cd quality. im just saying get better sound on the video cause i cant hear!

and dont lecture me about guitar racordings. i played guitar myself and did both sound and video recordings of my guitar teacher, which came out 10 times better than this. and i just used my camera.

if u watch utube videos of both classical and flamenco guitar, u'll see that most of them got a much better sound that what is on this video.

so what u say is not true.

  • @CT2507 Mic placement is very important if you're mic'ing a guitar and want a CD quality recording...if it were so simple, why are artists so picky about their mic placement?

  • @XianXiuHong its not that hard to record guitars... she just needs a better mic! or a better camera with included mic.

  • @CT2507 Only because they're using good microphones in a good acoustic and there's also the post-production which happens after recording.

Mic'ing plucked strings instruments like a harp or guitar and getting a good sound is the hard bit, just chucking the mic in front will give you an acceptable sound but the notes may be out of balance. Also, with every harp or guitar, there are better spots to mic the instrument which can take lots of experimenting depending on the piece and style

  • @XianXiuHong what use is the color if u cant hear the music!?

Andreas Vollenweider has done excelent harp recordings and live concerts with great sound... an pretty much all the pro harp players i have seen on a stage know how to amplify the sound. so it cant be that hard.

  • @CT2507 Mic'ing a harp is difficult and you would lose alot of the colour.

  • cant hear what u are playing... put a microphone close to your instrument, or plug your harp into some sound system.

  • fantastica è dire poco.
