Wow the old girl still floats. I was on the pre-commissioning crew. Picked the Jarvis up at Avondale shipyards in New Orelans and took her to Baltimore and then home to Honolulu.

WMEC619 - So you think the extra 168 feet makes the difference? I did 6 Bering Sea patrols on the Jarvis. I can't compare the ride on a 210 but responding to a SAR on both birds 25 plus knots hitting the seas was no fun at all.

My father served on this ship from 71-74 the cutters first years.He was the QMC of this ship.

2001-2003 made some life long friends aboard cutter jarvis and some life long enemies....U know were you fit.

the mighty needle of death. dang, i remember those days. served from october 2001 - march 2005. wouldnt trade those days for the world. OPERATIONS BABY!!!
