Better science makes better products. The patent-pending formulation of solvents, monomers and polymers is why Shellac™ goes on like polish, wears like gel and removes in minutes. Plus it's hypo-allergenic and 3-FREE... containing no formaldehyde, toluene or DBP.
@MsKathy07 I have used this wonderful product for over a year. I've experimented with different types of acetone and non acetone. Pure acetone takes 10 min or less to remove shellac, acetone take min of 10- 15 min, and non acetone takes almost forever. Plus with pure acetone it not only remove quicker is prevents bleeding onto the nail plate. It is way more cost effective to use pure acetone than to use acetone. If you have no pure acetone then acetone will work in a pinch.

Do you have to use acetone or can you use regular nail polish remover?

I've had mine for about a week so far. I'm really hard on my nails so I didn't think it was going to last as long as they said. Other than the growth, it looks like I just got them done a few minutes ago! I've gotten so many compliments.

@jolynnegibson Yes, as it is better to do a thin layer, cure and apply another thin coat followed by the top coat. It will last longer.

I got a french manicure, and it did not last for 2 weeks, but for 3 whole weeks!!! When I removed it, my nails had grown quite a bit. The white part of the manicure only had a tiny chip on one nail and some small cracks on a couple of nails. It also protected my nails from braking... they were able to grow more than usual without braking nor tearing, as they usually do. The secret for long lasting shellac is super clean nails before application.
I totally LOVE Shellac!!

I tried this a few weeks ago before my trip to California. I absolutely love it and it lasted the whole 2 weeks we were there!

I like the Shellac but for me it stayed nice for about 10 days rather than a full 2 weeks which the salon said it would. But definitely better than just a regular manicure which would usually stay nice only 5 days or so.

Do you need to apply two coats of white when doing a french like with regular polish?

it is so easy to remove!! Put acetone on cotton, and either use their "wraps"...or cotton soaked acetone and a piece of tin foil to hold it on the finger works great.. Leave on 10 min(I find it doesn't take that long), then twist the foil/cotton off the nail. IF any remains, it will crumble right off! And nails are not damaged as in acrylics!

I am a long time nail tech & just got this product today & tried it on myself. I must say it is beautiful & easy to apply. Looking forward to seeing how it wears & more importantly HOW EASY DOES IT COME OFF.
We'll see & I'll be checkin' back! :)
