  • No boulder, what you just saw what the complete trail 22. The only iffy part is that there is a fallen tree about halfway in you have to get off and walk your bike under it.

  • my riding buddy siezed his bike right after the tree you go under. main bearing detonated

  • One of my favorite trails at ballinger..

  • Sorry man. Not sure if there's a way to delete the comment now. I agree though, the place is great!

  • Dont be tellin people where Ballinger is at (esp on the internet) I like that place the way it is uncrowded and mellow. plus they dont have one way trails so it's easy to get into a head on collision. Love that place though, definitely not for beginners or quads though.

  • Go to Google Maps and look up Cuyama, California. From 166 you go South on 33 for about a mile or two, and then turn left (east) into Ballinger Canyon Road. I think you need an Adventure Pass to ride there (you buy it at any ranger station, many sporting goods stores sell them too.

  • I used to ride at Ballinger a lot in the mid 90s. This trail looks like what we used to call "Gibbs Gulch". I went into it way early during the Leapin' Lizard Enduro one year and there was a check at the end. I was the only rider to zero it. Ha ha!!!

  • I haven't been there before. Judging by this trail, would you say that Ballinger isn't really for quads? Should I take my CR instead? How do I get there from the SF Valley? Can you camp there? Are there fees? Thanks!

  • yea i wish i was there rippin it up with my 500 :D
