Why is John Deacon ranked in mostly top 10 bass player-lists? He is amazing! John Paul Jones, John Entwistle and John Deacon! The three immortal bass players!

Hi man! great job! I play the bass too and even if I listen to the queen music (and John lines) from 20 years, love them like the first time! I guess that today many bass players uses a very good tecnique but Deacky's style is UNIQUE! Ciao buddy!

Despite this is all product of Mercury's imagination you need someone that talented to know what the song requires to make it better. The sounds and intentions that Deacon puts in the piece are exquisite. Such things divide the musicians from the instrument players. Long live John Richard Deacon.

The bass is a Fender Precision Special ( deluxe series) made in Mexico - 2002. I changed the pickguard.
No amp here, just the bass pluged through a Mobile Pre sound card.

I forgot to tell you that a good set of Rotosound strings ( gauge of your choice) makes the rest.
