Destination Nowhere. 90 Miles North of Bangor right off route one lies the third largest lake in Maine. Bordering New Brunswick, Canada the lake is both lovely and untouched by most humans. Should be a huge tourist attraction but is mostly undiscovered so please don't tell anyone I like it that way. Cost = Priceless. This is my part time home. I miss the lake when I'm not there. East Grand Lake is certainly beatiful, a testimony to God's creative power and glory. I have often taken my canoe out on a placid evening, with the moon shining in its strength, with the loons making their calls to each other, and it an experience few things can match. There's certainly a whole lot more to life than one's close proximity to the latest shopping mall!
