My initial plan was to make cheese korokke; however, I didn't realize the cheese that was in my fridge had long past the expiry date. So, I can't use it and can't buy cheese last minute as I don't wanna travel. Searched through my fridge and I have one banana left; hence I decided to try out banana korokke instead. haha! A weird combination but it turned out to be sweet korokke. haha!

Here is the list of ingredients.

Banana korokke
=============
- 3 potatoes (that's because I need extra for my snails)
- 1 banana (mashed)
- flour
- 1 beaten egg
- panko

Kinpira renkon (Braised lotus root)
===========================
- 1/2 lotus root
- 1 carrot
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil for stir fry
- Sesame seeds for sprinkle at last

Sauce:
- 1/2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tsp of sake, mirin and sugar
- 1 tbsp of water

Yaki onigiri
=========
- Vegetable oil (lightly oil the pan)
- 2 triangle rice balls
- Terriyaki sauce (to brush on the rice balls)

Terriyaki chicken
==============
- Butterhead lettuce as the base for the chicken in bento
- Do refer to my old vid here. Sorry for the old vid's quality due to my old camera. ^^;

Decoration:
=========
- Snails: the extra mashed potatoes from korokke (this part doesn't have banana. Purely potatoes)
- Pocky sticks as snails' tentacles
- Nori for its eyes and smiley
- Ketchup for its cheeks
- Its shell is formed by potatoes shaped into a ball
- Instant roast chicken gravy powder for the color of its shells

That's all. Simple right? Thank you for watching another simple tutorial of mine. hehe!

  • ふたしめてみろよ!!笑

  • This music is kinda random for when you were preparing it... Cooking music should be upbeat, but gentle at the same time!

  • @KantanRyouri thank you ~.^
