Deirdre is originally from Vermont, but she's lived in San Francisco for about five years. She loves her aquarium, favoring fresh water tropical fish, especially really tiny ones. She's kind of a homebody, she loves to be cozy at home reading, or writing poetry and short stories. She has even had some of her work published in a local magazine. She always speaks her mind, and believes in telling people exactly what she's thinking.

She is proud of joining a vaccine study, often telling her friends she is part of the project. She feels it is particularly important for trans women to participate, since researchers need to know how the vaccine might work for them.
