Casting study session to look at the effect of a shooting head being cast with a long carry of running line beyond the tip.

In this video the line is a type 3 sink Rio Max 2 head coupled to 20lb Amnesia shooting line. The carry ranges from approx 15-25 ft of running line beyond the tip.

When the back of the shooting head enters the huge loop face which was made completely out of running line, the diameter of line is increasing that is undergoing the direction change, this coincides with a tension level increase felt in the line being held in the hauling hand.

When the rod is held lightly in two fingers after each back cast, this tension increase pulls on the rod which was pointing towards the ground and raises it up to a desirable angle for the delivery, with minimal input from the caster.

A tension induced form of " Auto Drift" .
