he is not a very good representative for ooma. he is just reading off the ppt and stutters a lot.

@klabkebash the newer ooma doesnt need a scout. you just plug the ooma into your wall and forget about it. you can basically act like you have plain old land line

@Resistoon: The scout is used to catch the signal when the Hub sends the signal to the other phone jacks in your house. So you are making calls from other phones located elsewhere in your house. The newer Ooma's don't even come with the scout, which is kinda a cheap of them.

I don't get the point of the scout without the premier service.
