This was an amazing speech and definitely one of the best speeches I've seen this year. Ron Paul was at the bottom of my list of candidates to support two days ago but after understanding more about what he stands for-LIBERTY! I'm definitely supporting Ron Paul for President.

If only the Evangelicals could have set aside their blood lust and embraced the only candidate who actually understood the Bible. None of this crap would be happening right now.

And yes I know that he is an evangelical too. But I don't care. He doesn't speak like one. As far as I am concerned Ron Paul is just as much of a prophet as Thomas S. Monson is. He's just a different kind of prophet.

Does it matter? Ron Paul wants states to make the laws. The republicans will likely win regardless if it is Ron Paul, Gingrich, Santorum, or Romney.

The difference is that 3 of these candidates want to ban abortion on the Federal level (and gay marriage).

I don't know any moderate that wants the Federal government dictating any mandatory laws that go against states laws, so likely you are talking about liberal fanatics or neo-con nutjobs.

Ron Paul will bring back States rights to make their own laws and keep the federal government out of it.

The republican candidates want to try to outlaw it altogether, along with gay marriage, medicinal marijuana, and other state laws about to being nullified.

Keep pushing for a Federally controlled system that overrides states laws and you will get what you deserve.

Dems will push their laws on the states when they are in power, and Reps will do the same when the gain control

I am also an atheist, but am all for Ron Paul. I don't give a damn what his beliefs are, just as I wouldn't care if he were a homosexual, a drug user, or whatever. Like him, I believe everyone should be able to have whatever belief, lifestyle, or values they choose.

If there is a god, he can judge people. The government has no place in doing so.

Indeed. I'm an atheist and I have no problem supporting Ron Paul. I don't care that he's religious because he has no intention to push his belief on others and understands the need for separation of church and state, probably more than any other candidate, from either party. Hell, the non-religious minority might even benefit from that.

Would you look at that - all the Christian Reconstructionist groups under one roof and they crowned Ron Paul demi-god. But he's not a religious fundamentalist or anything. Wow.
