Like I said, I think he considered that, but I think he was more worried about maintaining his image as a family man following God. People who love their kids don't slit their throats, I hope you realize that.

Wonder if the FBI knows about it... Two NM troopers shot and killed a Canadian fugitive who was breaking into cabins, so maybe your theory is correct. Like I said though, the FBI hasn't had a confirmed sighting, but they did get pretty excited about a series of tips near Grand Isle, LA.

Oh, I wouldn't say that at all. Mary absolutely loved her kids. In fact, she took Bobby to a hunter's safety course that he wanted to go to the night of the murders. She spent a lot of time and money on them and also managed to teach some of their sunday school classes. I think Robert wanted to keep the marriage together for himself and not everyone else. He didn't want a divorce because he would be viewed as a failure then.
