@Dandy5th Baltimore ripped out the hearts of Browns fans. I will never defend the move to Indianapolis, the Colts belong to Baltimore and got screwed. Your statement of "So, we just used their prefered method, we STOLE them" just reminds me of the old phrase "two wrongs don't make a right."
Try dealing with that bag of shit that ran the NFL then , Paul Tagliabue. Baltimore had several deals above and beyond the cities that got expansion teams but Tagliabue did not want Baltimore to have a team. Hell, we would have been happy to keep the name and history as Cleveland was "allowed" to do but Tagliabue would have none of it. So, we just used their prefered method, we STOLE them but again that was just the players and unlike Baltimore Cleveland still has it's legacy and name.
Obviously you chicken eating bag of fat you must live in Indianapolis and are therefore a thief like your city. Shut up, get a life and lay off the chicken fats!
i grew up and live in Seattle.....the BALTIMORE Colts will always be my one and only pro team.....I will hate Robert Irsay (who i once met at a Seattle Seahawks game in the late 70s drunk and staggering) until the day I die.........
at least Modell had the decency to leave Cleveland it's history..........
colts turned their back on Baltimore? they left because they had a shitty stadium, played in a shitty town, and most of all BECAUSE NO ONE SHOWED UP TO THE GAMES! god damn them for try to move out of a giant ghetto to a place where the fans would appreciate a sports team.
@relcaldwell You nailed it bro! Oh how could indy steal our team oh poor us! Then they turn around and rip out Cleveland's heart. Total hypocrisy. They should have waited and tried expansion again and again before they hurt another city.
:46 words of pure truth. Build the Colts a stadium you keep your team. Irsay waited 12 years, and nothing. Even Baltimore's great owner Rosenbloom wanted to move in '72, but he found it a better proposition to trade for the ownership of the Raiders.
agreed, my apologies
