@OilTheGun Thank You, Sir. I am honored to have this historical item in my home. Looking at it really makes me want to dig and research, since there were SO many evolutions of how this model birthed out of of Hartford, CT. I'm already finding things I need to research further. Nonetheless, it will be put back to its original grandeur and become a regular guest at my range. Right now tho', I just want to spend some time with it and let it tell me its 93 year story as best it can.

Is it posible that gun saw some use in WW2? How 'bout Nam or WW1? Nice piece of history right there...

@ZeaMoore4 I'm not entirely sure. It is in VERY good shape if it was used at all after rebuild. My initial thoughts are after rebuild, it went into long term storage at a depot arsenal, simply because of its current condition. I am going to dig on this one and see what I can find. It is quite NICE tho'. Thanks!

@weaponocd It IS in an incredibly good condish. Looking forward to hearing what history info you find on this gun. I think it was a greate purchase. You gonna test fire it? Make shure you double check the insides first. Sense it's been in storage for a long time, it's better to be safe then sorry.

@ZeaMoore4 I have been able to verify all roll marks are correct and consistent with the period during which it was manufactured. I learned the Eagle Head S12 stamp is a US Ordnance Dept acceptance stamp, rather than an arsenal rebuild indication, so now I'm left with a mystery of determining which arsenal rebuilt it, since it doesn't bear those stampings like other arsenal rebuilds. I have torn it down, and I would feel confident test firing it, however I want to Magnaflux the barrel first.

@weaponocd It's a mystery gun. And that just makes it that mutch sweeter. Hope you intend to make a vid on the test fireing. It's always cool to se old guns in action. I must admit though, i don't know what magnaflux is. I'm guessing it's an gunoil?

@ZeaMoore4 I am most assuredly having fun with this weapon. Magnaflux is a brand name for a number of methodologies of non-destructive inspection and crack detection in both ferrous and non-ferrous material.
