Is it possible to refill the shocks and put them together leak free with the plastic shock caps? I have tried so many times and I have never had a non leaking shock even after reseating the oil seals first, I'm running them "empty" now because I gave up.
I have put a lot of TRF and 3racing shocks together and never had a leak with them.

@rcF1racer Some shocks are better than others. Personally, I've always had leak issues with Traxxas shocks with plastic caps. Most of the time they get ruined when the shock caps blow off during hard landings. They are also easy to cross-thread. The Revo shocks however are much nicer.

can it be any oil or does it have to shock oil

@gjames22 It has to be shock oil. It is what it is designed for. Do not use motor oil or lubricating oil. Go to the hobby shop or order the right stuff.

Will it ruin the shock if I have some air in it?

@lucasdzik No, but it won't perform correctly. The air will mix with the oil and foam up during the action of the shock, and not provide correct dampening.
