Roundtable discussing the historical evolution of utopianism, featuring Edwin Schlossberg, John Rockwell, Anne Cattaneo, Peter Gay, Robert Pippin, and Adrienne Baxter Bell.
technology is the unbounded aspect that utopia requires. people underestimate the power of technology to solve the classic problems of government and society. for those that say it could be hacked or is insecure, I assure you there's nothing more exploitable than the currency system and government.
Are the plays in question anywhere on the web to see and know what are they talking about? Why didn't they use more widespread examples like the movie Shan-gri-la? I also wonder, because it wasn't developed in the discussion, whether religious prophecies of salvation like biblical passages, from Isaiah I reckon, saying about the lion and the lamb coexisting peacefully or the Christian conception of Heaven as Paradise are utopias as well?
Have a look at societies in Northern Europe like Norway and Sweden.
Highest taxes in the world !
as a result, the wealthiest populations.
the lowest crime. the best educated and most healthy, the most equal and liberal. it is not perfect, but it puts your comment in perspective.
The American far right deceives and holds back freedom in the name of 'freedom', it serves bosses who would make you a serf to their property . it is why you make such reactionary statements.

Utopia only exists in ones own mind and no one else's...

"One persons freedom is anothers prison".
