VIGIL / HERE TODAY - WHISTLE IN THE YARD

The band was originally known as"'Here Today". Now known as "Vigil", this is "Whistle in the Yard", released in 1983. This is the 1987 studio version. I have loved this song ever since I first heard it in Seattle back in 1984 while a college dj. Thanks for watching and listening.

I know it is not the original version. In my description on the video, I even tell you it is the 1987 version and not the original.

I wish I had the original version as I like it a bit better. I worked at a college radio station and that is how I came to know of "Here Today" and played the original on a regular basis.

@cello700 This isn't the original version of Here Today's "Whistle in the Yard" from 1983. It's the later Vigil version from 1987. They sound almost identical but if you put them side by side you an tell the difference. The main one being that this Vigil version has extra tom tom rolls in the chorus. I know because I have the original Here Today 12" single and grew up on early WHFS when it was 102.3 FM too.

Love this song! I heard it on an Internet '80s station (flashback alternatives) and had to get it. I bought the LP on eBay - it was well worth the shipping cost to England. Thanks for uploading it.
