got out for some local fishing first time in over a month for some channel catfish.cotton wood made it tough but we caught some real quality channel cats - lost a monster of a channel cat when my reel & rod guides got fouled up with the cotton wood.still a great trip but man it would have been nice to see the river monster that broke me off

I fish in the Alton area by the dam and chain of rocks.. In still trying to find a good bait, I use Shad but i catch more perch off them that chAnnel cats... Any other bait you reccomend?

@kissmabass no bullheads in this creek but we got a few lakes nearby with bullhead - good fight and tasty too in the spring
