  • Are you going to post clips from the remainder of the performance? The quality of your video and the audio are the best on YouTube. I would love it if you would so I can require my class to watch your posts. Thanks!

  • @tcrain1 yes i plan on it. as you can see there are roughly18 tracks so the whole production could take a week or so to upload.

  • this is wonderful music

it is improvized, but there are some pre-recorded synclavier samples, and Frank conducts it

love the creepiness and drum solo

shame this piece is not included on any official FZ album

  • have i just been transported to heaven -- this is sublime

  • beautiful

  • Frank Zappa

    December 21st 1940-December 4th 1993

Th present day composer refuses to die.

  • I was like "Damn, the drummer is a pimp", and then they took the shades off and I was like "omg, an Asian lady drummer who is also a pimp D:"

  • I can hear varese, and even xenakis in this, except, it goes much further, a total blend of all "world" music.

  • Sometimes I look at nowadays music and how 'important' it is( to the mainstream). And then I wonder, what of ourdays' music will be left in 3-400 years. To be honest, I wouldn't bet a dime on the Beatles, the Stones or The Who to be relevant in 300 years (though I love them). I think Zappa is one of the few people of our time that people might remember in a few hundred years.

  • @MrNerdyBritches Respect?Oh yeah? Wait 200 yrs! or 500!! His classical repretoire will be listened and studied thru the next 500 yrs as it already is today used in universities for study.Bach is 400 yrs old and still used. Frank will also become a name in a clssroom textbook in music history and performance and he'll have the distinction of being the only one to be popular with Heavy metal, jazz, pop and avent garde contemporary,.The one difference between him and most all other pop musicians.

  • Thanks for this fiiiine piece of music

  • That asian chick can drum!
