when desperation comes, it reaches a point whereby people no longer fear all those things. When they are driven to the wall and have nothing to lose by fighting back. Unfortunate though this may be, this is now my current prayer: that the people of Kenya shall be so wasted by these leaders that they fight back; that they shall be driven to utter desperation that they group together and hound out the leaders and set up institutions and policies that work for them and not the leaders.

It is a national shame when ministers are busy globetrotting around the world using tax payer's money yet you have no shame begging the world for aid.
Do we ever learn, 2006 we had famine, why were not prepared for it this time?

The ministries of agriculture and energy should have made major strides by now in introducing to citizens modern farming methods, irrigation, afforestation, new energy sources and safeguards to natural resources. Selling Tana River Delta to Qatar wouldnt solve our food problem. Its STUPID!

OVERGRAZING and DEFORESTATION definitely would cause drought. Then the old fashioned AFRO (1970s) haired guy Kalonzo blames it on global warming. If its global warming then why are the intelligent people in Kenya concerned about deforestation in water catchment areas of Mau forest?

Kalonzo is shifting the blame to global warming. LIAR! Who doesnt know the old fashioned farming methods have exacerbated the drought. Overgrazing: people still see their net worth in the number of livestock they own. Good for dowry to marry lots of women. Firewood: most people in these areas still live like cavemen. They dont have and cannot afford modern sources of energy. So, they cut down all trees for firewood causing deforestation.
