This video highlights the very obvious and serious differences between the way that WTC 7 deformed as it descended and the NIST computer models of the same event.

The NIST models are visual the end-product of their computer model, which forms the basis of their conclusions.

Highlighting such serious flaws when comparing the NIST model behaviour to reality is only one small issue with the NIST report, it's methods, and findings.

The NIST Final Report on WTC 7 does not in any way explain the descent.

NIST should be directly challenged on all issues.

NIST have even included a 2.26s period of free-fall during the descent...

  • The 2 LSDYNA models weren't composites of the collapse. They were only programmed with values needed to aid NIST in predicting whether or not debris damage to south face was relevant to mode of global collapse...only structural elements were quantified - they didn't include effect of facade / invariables etc.

The moment frame seen in the simulations was concealed 2 ft behind a granite wall curtain so how / if the skeleton distorted could not be determined by viewing the WTC7 footage anyways

  • They have two thirds of the core columns and almost all of the external core columns intact during the period of time in which near freefall acceleration of the roofline descent occurred.

    It's a cartoon. Period.

  • Awesome work.

This is the first time i've seen the animation released by NIST. The NIST animation is so far removed from reality, it's embarrassing.

  • @shanehoustein the second one is a simulation of a collapse if there was no fires and if no debris hit the building. (sort of as a control simulation). also the first one is a simplified simulation (calculating with every nut and bolt is to heavy even for a array of cpu's) so there are bound to be differences. the simulation is mainly to show where initial failure started. It was not meant to be, nor have NIST claimed that it is, a 100% accurate representation. Any claim of that is misconstrued.

  • @zenoist2 so lets just casually make sure not to mention that "stage 2" was a 2.25 second period in the middle before the building in stage 3 "decreased acceleration as the north face met resistance from the structure below".

Don't cherry pick information and then claim them to be the whole truth.

also the simulations are based on the report (which is based on observation and gathered evidence, not the other way around. simulations are approximations of something, its never 100% same as RL.

  • Off course they are different, one of the videos are a representation of how the building would collapse with fare and structural damage (from debris) and the second is a simulation of collapse without any fires or structural damage.

that the simulation shows some skewing of the corners that either aren't as evident in the video, but more likely this is different because of other factors unknown, like weight of furniture etc.. any simulation is like a sketch, it will never be 100% accurate.

  • The funniest part is that those models are the result of THREE YEARS of 'experimentation' (i.e. trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole).

You'd think it was something they just threw together over the weekend.

I mean, just think of all the models that *didn't* make the cut--I'd like to see some of them just for the comedic value.

  • This is almost funny, it's so awful. Why doesn't everyone at NIST just wear clown suits?

  • NIST studied ZERO pieces of actual steel.

    NIST admitted free fall.

free fall can be calculated without any input from NIST.

NIST scientists who took part in this this WTC 7 "study" are the willful servants of criminal psychopaths and have aided in abetted in the obstruction of justice thus they are criminals as well.

  • really embarrassing for NIST!

  • So glad this model has been released. So easy to see how flawed it is when directly compared with the actual collapse. NIST = Liars. I want names.

  • Why doesn't somebody use the software NIST used with a model of WT7 and blow out 18 floors in a controlled demolition sequence?

Bet you it looks like the real life video
