@ItaloLabignan Stiff rod tips for jerkbaiting? Ive heard you want a softer/moderate tip and a good backbone because you dont want to overpower the bait and the softer tip makes it harder to rip/twitch the bait too hard. Also, IMO braided line doesnt work as well for jerkbaiting because the fish can see it in crystal clear water so you get more follows and less strikes than you would with a high-quality fluorocarbon. Just my opinion tho.

@cameltoejoe69 Some anglers prefer a stiffer rod and using braided line with a fluorocarbon leader (invisible) in clear water. The low-diameter, no memory braid enables them to make longer casts, especially with lighter twitch-baits. The stiffer rod gives them precise and more controlled "twitching" action, rod tip moves 6", twitch-bait moves 6" . It really comes down to personal preference and style of twitching....God bless you, Italo

@cameltoejoe69 Hey, I did not take it as criticism, it's always good to get different anglers perspective. There is so much gear/lines/lures out there that different anglers gain confidence by using a certain system. Kind of like a golf swing. All the golfers I golf with have different swings (including me), but we get similar, good results when we do things right our own way.
