This Video records the public address by Jurist Poet Dr.(Prof.) Arun Kumar Jha of his very popular poem SWATANTRATA KI MURTI - STRI SHAKTI ANTIM UDHARAK ROOP MEIN (STATUE OF LIBERTY - WOMAN AS ULTIMATE DELIVERER) of the 5th chapter SWATANTRATA ( LIBERTY ) from his renowned book JANGAN SAMVIDHAN KE STAMVH (PILLARS OF THE REPUBLICAN CONSTITUTION) World's Maiden Poetic Treatise on Constitution, Law, Politics and Governance comprising unique constitutional poems/songs for cleansing, improving and rejuvenating the life of politics and the citizenry at all levels.
Dr JHA is a Delhi University College Professor of English and a celebrated Freelance Journalist Accredited to the Supreme Court of India (1984-2007) having been extensively coveredfrom time to time by a number of leading DAILIES including ANAND BAZAR PATRIKA,
BUSINESS STANDARD, THE TELEGRAPH, NAVBHARAT
TIMES, THE ASIAN AGE, THE OBSERVER OF BUSINESS
AND POLITICS, THE SUNDAY OBSERVER, THE TRIBUNE
and the prestigious NATIONAL HERALD founded by the
leading freedom fighter and independent India's FIRST
PRIME-MINISTER PANDIT JAWAHARLAL NEHRU during
the Indian freedom struggle.
This book was released by Supreme Court of India Judge,
Mr. Justice V.S. SIRPURKAR on April29,2009 at the Indian
Law Institute, New Delhi on which occasion he delivered
his magical speech on the Constitution in post-
independent India recommending the study of Dr Jha'book
by the citizenry as a whole while dwelling on its innumerable unique features spelling out the ethos for making and implementation of the constitutional
provisions. The earlier English Editions (1st and 2nd) of
the book People, the Constitution and its Pillars were
released by Former Chief Justice of India,Founder Chairman National Human Rights
Commission and Member of Parliament Mr. Justice
Ranganath Misra and famous Jurist ,former Indian High
Commissioner to UK and Senior Advocate (supreme
Court) Mr. L.M.Singhvi respectively on 16 February 2001 and 22 February 2002.
Dr Jha is an inter-disciplinary scholar from Delhi University with B.A.(Hons.) & M.A. IN ENGLISH; LL.B. and M.A.,M.Phil & Ph.D in Political Science Degrees obtained in the same University. His Doctorate is awarded on the ROLE OF SUPREME COURT IN INDIA'S DEVELOPMENT.
Born on 22nd January 1954 in the ancient Maithil region of India at village Mangrauni (Madhubani, Darbhanga in Bihar State),Dr (Prof) Jha is the elder son of famous Senior Congress Leader and former Bihar MInister, Late Mr. LOKESHNATH JHA, a renowned Journalist, rare Indian table politician, freedom fighter of the 1942 Quit India Movement struggle and active in Bihar politics for about 50 years, during which period he was a member of the State Legislature for about 23 years having held several top ministerial and party responsibilities. He died in year the 2004 at the age of 83 on his ancestral plot in the village Mangrauni (Madhubani).The last rites were performed with
full state honors and the Bihar State Legislature paid due
homage to him recalling his long tenure of public service
and intellectual leadership.The Media widely reported that
popularly known as L.N. JHA and the 'CHANAKYA of Bihar of politics' he was earlier appointed Secretary of the ALL India Student Congress personally by Pandit Jawaharlal
Nehru as an inveterate freedom fighter, was a one time close friend of Feroz Gandhi ( then President of the student Congress) and much later presided over the last visits to
Bihar of both Prime Minister Pandit Nehru (in 1963) and
Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984 because of top
responsible authority in Bihar politics he wielded during
both the eras separated by 20 long years.During the early
1960s it was widely known that he single-handedly
wheeled the vast Bihar governmental administrative
machinery being the Deputy Minister in nearly a dozen Departments of the two generations elderly then Chief Minister and other Ministers who gave a free hand to him to run the government.Then Bihar was considered to be one of the best administered states in the country before Nehru introduced the Kamraj Plan and first of all made his favorite B N JHA government to resign after the Chinese aggression to reorganize his sagging party leadership in the wake of Morarji Desai's redoubtable challenge.The book is now running into its fifth print.
