Great review and pretty accurate I think. I am curious though, you said you out damaged some people in a flashpoint as heal spec. I was wondering how you could tell as there are no damage meters, or am I missing something?

@KrisanaRavenholdt I have no hard data, but just using the eye test of how long it took me to get a mob down vs my team member or if we were fighting multiple mobs looking at how many mobs I was handling vs my team member - I was coming out on top a good percentage of the time. Some of this could also be attributed to just playing better but when we're using the same basic offensive powers the one thing I know I had that others may not have was really good equipment.

@kufpipa Several people have said this. Although I obviously have a lot of issues with swtor, I can't deny that I have enjoyed playing it for the most part - and the fun factor counts for a lot!

@HabeasMortis so true. i found several things he talked smack about that has been fixed, and was fixed in beta. also him saying cartoony graphics. well if he turned up graphics he wouldnt have that problem. also he talks about single planets.not how big the game is if you combine all the planets. as for character customization. name 1 game other then APB that has really good customization. i plan to make a video counter review about his and show the truth.

Also, with the story (I got to level 35 on my BH) i felt that as i progressed, the main story became less and less important. While the beginning of the game focused on the main story (and i enjoyed it), as time went on the main quest became a very plain side quest in a sea of side quests (some being better that the main story). This really glared on Alderaan imo. I kept forgetting what i was even doing while doing side quests that felt more important that the main quest.

With the voice acting, i have to say I'm not to thrilled having it in the game. This is coming from someone who loved KOTOR. I was really excited for the voice acting but once i got in to the game, i realized it was just a fancy way to give me a "kill this, collect that" quest. It just seems like the resources put in to voice acting could've been focused elsewhere. In two years, will any of us care to listen (for the 56th time) to the fat Imperial Officer who lost his keys in the forest?

@dtro there is nothing great about this game except for storyline. I don't understand what people like about it. It sucks in every aspect, most notably PVP.

You're on point with the environment. I really hated seeing twenty Sith apprentices on Korriban who all look the same. And the planet sometimes gets too generic, so you get bored and want to log out. :/

Good review. My biggest fear is that Bioware not only knows they did a sloppy job, but planned in advance to succeed doing so. Spend tens of million on advertising, get a couple million subs for a few months plus initial game costs, then continue to collect dwindling subs for another two years. Voila, profit -- even with a bad product. SWTOR could be GONE in two years and this game will be a success. sad

Well executed and considered review, you have framed your opinions well. Asking $15pm for a more or less single player game is ridiculous, there is no excuse for poor design with such a good developer and high budget. Star wars deserves better than this.

@Illuminati089 kotor 2 was a decent game, kotor 1 had the better story imo. The graphics were a bit better. I liked how they implemented the robe. And yes i was unsatisfied when i heard their making it an mmo, i really wished they made just 1 amazing story instead of 8 halfassed stories
