Ski Crash at 140 KPH

The skier crashes while doing 140kph (tracked by GPS). Shot with a GoPro HD on his helmet. Amazingly he only loses one ski and is up and skiing on his other ski to catch it straight way.

Filmed on the Renard red piste in Méribel, 3 Valleys, France.

@apotrz That's what was on the GPS though im told that the GPS speed may not be reliable due to the altitude drop combined with the forward travel but hey makes for a good video title!!

That was not much of a "crash"...

More of caught an edge and lost balance then slowed down by sliding on thigh.

@abetson Well, I was using GPS to measure ski speed too, GPS is good for average speed but max speed is often very inaccurate.
