I love the dancing scene from 'Merton in China' that was fun :)

Thank you so much! I love this man!
I'm sure he was singing "Unchained Melody" for Sarah, even if badly and very off-key.
Paul certainly is a "man 'o rhythm." He's bit like Austin Powers, except:
Paul Merton: International Man of Rhythm.
I LOVE YOU PAUL!!!!!

Pretty funny stuff!

It's incredibly sad. I think Jim's a genius - I loved him in the Masterson Inheritance and of course with the Comedy Store Players. His play about MS was brilliant and pretty inspiring.

Aw, I didn't know that. It's sad, isn't it?
-
yes
i read on his blog that now he's nearly bound to bed
-
Yeah, it's sad about Jim. It must be very painful... mind you, MS affects the nervous system and I believe the most common form of it [or if indeed it IS caused] is when a section of the spinal cord is eroded away, exposing the nerve itself.
I know what you mean...he wouldn't stop 'adjusting himself' during the whole pantomime!
Jim as "ginger-ish Jesus" - I do like that!!! Was lucky enough to see him perform at the Store a handful of times before he retired.
Thank you for uploading these clips though, I like stuff that shows Paul Merton in a different light, most people I know have only seen him on HIGNFY and regard him as being quite sullen. How wrong could you be!

You're very lucky! I think Jim is a genius.
You're so right - whenever I say to my friends about going to the Comedy Store, I always end up trying to tell them that Paul is very rarely sullen! Last time I saw him, he did Film Styles and Andy picked every musical style out of the audience and nothing else, much to Paul's chagrin! "I'm really trying here... I'm right out of my comfort zone!" and then as he grew more confident he started giving Josie advice on how to sing properly! Genius!

Yay! Spongeman! How long since I've seen that clip....
Also really enjoying Jim's hair in these clips - almost as much as Richard's bikini! Hahaha!

I know!! His hair is a brilliant tool for aging the programme! He looks like a ginger-ish Jesus!
My friend saw the video of the panto before going to the Comedy Store for the first time. She couldn't see Richard in the same light again!
