  • if you're attack is full contacts and your opponent is not physically nailed to the floor he's moving back, if not from the power of your kick then from his own evasive and combative movement.

unless a guy stands still in front of you and allows you to place these attacks on him in a controlled mannor I don't believe this sort of combination is applicable.

  • These combinations are designed to instill muscle memory when placed under similar circumstances in the ring/ cage.

Will someone throw this exact combination, in the same order in the midst of a fight?

    Of course not.

So actually, we agree totally, believe it or not.

But any experienced fighter knows in the speed of combat, conscious thinking and planning is not practical. So we have to rely on the instincts instilled by doing combos exactly like this.

  • Ever notice how most of the current crop of MMA fighters are completely off balance by the 3-4th technique in a combo?

Its because most began as high school wrestlers that learned striking later - whereas boxers/ kickboxers seem completely comfortable during longer exchanges.

This is the benefit gained from practicing longer combos. So the theory states we sacrifice some realism for the flow and balance of multi-technique exchanges.

  • And finally, keep in mind this is not a combo for guys getting ready for the UFC Its a combo designed for white belts to practice blocking, kicking, punching and moving.

    Thanks for your comment, though!

  • Excellent vids. Can you please feature Muay Thai clinch? Thanks in advance.

  • These are excellent lessons. Thanks for slowing things down.

  • its hard to recognize what he's doin with her legs,he wear black color pants and the background is also black, wtf!!!

  • you're welcome

I'd still like to see you apply this full contact, or at least 75% contact

  • It does not matter wheather you believe these techniques or not. But keep in mind that these techniques are not random and haphazardly designed from nowhere.

John Graden is an 8th degree black belt and defenitely more experienced than you.

Moreover, if these techniques didn't work, I doubt any other techniques of the world are going to.

His teacher was none other that legendary Joe lewis. So he is not simply demonstrating whatever he wishes. He is really Teaching you What MATTERS.

  • After a front kick, the target need not be out of range. That depends how you are hitting.

If your front kick is more like a push, then surely he is out of range

BUT if you are hitting with the BLADE, aiming the solar plexus or below, then the opponent is more likely to BEND DOWN and that's the time when you GRAB.
