READ DESCRIPTION:

This is a project I edited for a TV Studio Production class. It's my first video edited on a Mac with Final Cut Pro. Everyone in class took part in the project - we all traded places operating the cameras, being newscasters, etc. In addition to post-production editing - sequencing the clips, adding titles and pictures, etc. - I wrote the script and told the switcher when to switch cameras (three were used in total.) I also made up the names - they are NOT the newscasters' real names.

  • hi i know you made this video over 2 years ago but where did you get the intro? it would be really awesome if you could let me know, i'm making a newscast for my school. thanks, and great job!

  • @Cashew115

I got the audio and visuals from one of the school's Macs, so they may be default features included in Final Cut Pro, but I'm not sure. I can try and check with someone about it on Monday.

  • what camcorder did you use?

  • We filmed on Canon XHG1 cameras.

  • @MarkWeekday i found it on the mac at school, thanks a bunch!

no, it was just a set we used. cut-and-paste this to see how I made the text: watch?v=ZEVcn1owl5Q

to add still pictures, just go to File; Import, and select the image. what I do next is simply drag the image into the timeline and place it above the video, then drag the yellow-triangle marker over that spot in the video, and finally click the image in the top-right screen to move and resize the it to where I want it to appear over the video.

  • Great job! LOL
