@rlarson3232 If i'm not wrong those aren't slats, are air intakes for the water cooling system of the engines.

i see that while on the ground, the horizontal stability is an issue; with a tailless design and all.

I actually helped help Dale, the builder/pilot, preflight one of his flying wings years ago. He had a number of em, and each one got better and better. I lost touch when I left the club (Corona RC club, flying out of Perris, CA) about 10 years ago, but it used to amaze me that he could keep track of that thing. It would literally disappear when the wing was edge-on to the pilots view. He drew the plans, built them from scratch, and flew them in the days before electronic mixing. Impressive.

Honestly dont know much about it other that what you see. The gear were retracts but he decided to leave the them down for the flight. The engines kept dying prior to getting set up on the runway and had to restart multiple times. Very cool plane and the pilot I believe is the builder too.
