The reign of Ceausescu in Romania was not a calm one. The stability of his system was constantly being tested and mainly by external factors. A prime example were the strikes of Jiu valley. It is obvious that the riots were sponsored by the west as the demands were blur. Some demanded better working conditions others higher wages and other the downfall of the government. It was obvious that the very strikers themselves did not know what they were striking for.

Another important issue created by the external factors were the imperialist debts. Thir interst rates went skyrocketing forcing a series of austerity measures. Comrade Ceausescu was forced to take them otherwise he would have to condemn his people to an eternal banking slavery. The situation of present day Romania supports this point.

Nonetheless Romania was a country of great achievements. Many of them are described in the previous video.

  • @HK379 And without border customs security the "student" protesters could enter with western arms in their bags and start their bloody antirevolution..

  • @HK379 Yea he supported Kim il Sung ... But he got too deep in with imperialists , he got so many bribes and honors that he practicly invited em in by removing border-customs...

  • Now HOLD ON .

Ceausescu WAS AGAINST Krushchev`s Revisionism .

Countering the Krushchev policies at the time is not "Anti-Soviet action" .

but Verry SOVIET PATRIOTISM , WORKER SOLIDARITY , FIGHTING TO KEEP SOCIALISM IN THE USSR .. means fighting against Krushchev `s decadent reviosionism .
