If you don't know Micheal Yon, he is former special forces, and now a journalist and blogger.
His dispatches have been hailed as the most accurate and unbiased accounts of the situation in Iraq, almost from the very beginning, yet he is largely unknown outside the MilBlog community.

Yeah. Go look for some videos by people who have never been to Iraq, or never left the green zone while in Iraq, yet claim they know the situation there.

Go look for some uninformed sources that will help this Canadian feel justified in believing we are losing in Iraq, even though al-Qaeda themselves know (and admit) that they have lost.

Of course not, since some of us have actually been there (multiple times) and don't get our info from MSM, who constantly claim epic fail and cherry-pick 1% of the worst news and give it 99% of the coverage.

I've been reading Michael's web site since talking to a few vets who've been to Iraq and was frustrated by the lack of reporting on the absolutely vile acts of the insurgents. I've heard stories of partols coming across mutilated corpses of women and children, yet these go unreported amid the media circus around Abu Grahib and Paris Hilton's latest escapades!

I'm glad to see the main stream media slowly coming around to supporting the troops, and the Iraqi people.

I agree. If you do a search for US troops in Iraq, you will find the funniest and most hilarious videos made by BORED soldiers. Talk to the Marines: they'll tell you the hardest hell was in Boot Camp, not Iraq. Troops don't want to leave Iraq, after getting home, they can't wait to go BACK!

It doesn't matter how competant your generals are or how effective your battle plans are if you've got idiotic members of congress who want to cut your funding. Why do you think US left Vietnam, heck they were ready to say uncle when congress cut the funding...and the US media posted some of the most anti-American propaganda ever.
