Life After Divorce by Amanda Delight

Hes been asking for forgiveness forever now. But I didnt want to give him that. I felt as though I already gave him everything I could in life including a daughter. He told me that it would eat me alive until I did. I guess he has learned how to place fear from his new found religion.

A few weeks ago, he finally admitted to me and our daughter that he made a mistake and had regrets and that he was sorry.

*big sigh

And with that being said, the weight and stress was lifted from my mind, body and soul. I could continue on my path knowing that I did all I could to save what we had and now my daughter finally knows the truth and I can march on. Im not GIVING him the pleasure of forgiveness, thats Gods job. Instead, Im TAKING my freedom. Im free to be myself and express myself, and that is a beautiful thing!

Forgiveness is not a problem. The problem arrives when people get confused and add forgetting to the occasion. Sometimes I've heard forgive and forget. Forgiving is spiritual, forgetting is only going to give you more to forgive. In a real sense would it be to your advantage to remember?
