  • Hi Penn fans. Penn Says videos have been discontinued, so you won't be seeing any new content on here. You can check out our Profile on our Channel Page for more info. We'll still be checking in, so hope to keep chatting with you all! Thanks!

  • Libertarianism fails because unregulated "free" markets lead to tyranny and slavery. Capitalism works, and it works well, but sans Democratic Governance (by all people/citizens) the result is the same. Libertarians are essentially social darwinists, with less "class", regardless of pedigree or education.

  • @akgregor But it's a nice 'ideal', right?

  • Penn's credentials to comment on matters of government are:

-He is a citizen of voting age

-Actually the first one is enough, I don't need to go on.

  • "whine about someone else's "credentials" while having none of your own."

There's a big difference between not having credentials and not saying one's credentials. For the observer, you're right that it doesn't matter -- which is why I DON'T GIVE EXPERT OPINION MYSELF, AND INSTEAD CITE EXPERTS.

"Maybe you should sign in to your alternate account so you can really give me the what for with more thumb downs!"

You do that? Lame. Check out my anti-Penn vids: they're ranked low. I don't care.

  • Am I the only one that can't watch his videos after this crackle shit?

  • @tttapmmman Ok, once again, just because you do not have a college degree does not mean you are not educated. You wouldn't have a formal education, but one can learn just as much from deep reading and social interaction. There is a thing as self-education, which was what I was trying to delve into with my reply.

The way you just replied to me was uncalled for. I was more than polite to you--why must you criticize me for simply asking questions for my own learning experience?

  • @tttapmmman Why does having a degree from a two-year or four-year college make you educated? Education is defined as simply learning. Some of our great writers and thinkers never went to college (i.e., Hemingway, and Lincoln was self-taught before he passed his bar exam). Why does one have to be in school to be 'educated'?

  • The reason I like listening to you is because you are your own man sir. I often don't agree with you as I am a conservative but I have a great deal of respect for how you are not beholden to any party line and tell things the way you see them. Don't change a thing.

  • I love all these claims that Penn's so 'uneducated' because he's never gone to an ivy league school or gotten a PHD in fucking African dance or whatever; Philistines. I've known far too many degree holding ivy leaguers who fail to grasp simple concepts. Having a bullshit piece of toilet paper from some ludicrously expensive social engine doesn't mean anything. 'Educated' isn't restricted to college level and furthermore, doesn't necessarily mean 'intelligent'.

  • I have come to have a good bit of contempt for Penn's opinions (OPINIONS).

Hearing him blather and pontificate about any subject is like getting a sex lecture

    from a priest.

  • It's a great "Ideal" but I'm a pragmatist baby ;)

  • He might have gone to clown college, but he's far from uneducated. If you mean educated from the perspective of getting a degree in something, then sure, you'd be right. But he clearly tries to inform himself as much as possible and most of the time I head him talk he seems pretty rational.
