Change (Chapter 9)

Hey Guys!!! I decided to post once more before I head off for the night!!! I really appreciate the comments that I'm getting so quick!! It makes me wanna post MORE, which is a GOOD THING. =)

PS- This is a continuation of her dream. The next part will have the rest of the dream. I'll probably post the next one tomorrow because all of the videos are ready to go for me. =)

"I dont know. Ill think about it." He smiled the smile that I loved and then I got up and headed towards gym.

The rest of the day went by without any more incidents. I was walking out of the school, iPod in ears and then I started to walk home, thinking about what Joe said. He...loves me? But...how is that possible? As I thought this, I saw someone pull up next to me. I looked and it was...Garbo? I paused my iPod and exclaimed,

"Garbo! Whats up? You scared me."

"Oh, sorry. Do you want a ride?"

"Nah, its ok. Its a really nice day out for a walk." He smiled and then said,

"I wanted to talk to you about Joe if he didnt already."

"Oh. He already talked to me this morning. Why?"

"Oh. I was going to tell you about...how hes been the past couple of days. Cmon. Hop in." I shrugged and hopped into his car and we took off, going...I dont know where. We kept driving and then we ended up at the Ridgewood Duck Pond. We got out and we started to walk around.

"Garbo, what did you really bring me here for?" And he didnt say anything. He just kept walking like a zombie. I wasnt sure what to do or think. Then, I heard music nearby...it sounded like a guitar being played. The sound got closer and then Garbo cleared his voice really loud and then I heard rustling and then I heard the familiar guitar and vocals of 'Please Be Mine'. We rounded the corner and saw that there were people surrounding the...THREE OF THEM?!?! Kevin and Nick were there, and then I saw Joe. I came into view and then Joe walked in my direction. I looked around, utterly confused. Joe took my hand and pulled me to the front of the gathering crowd. Joe just held my hand and sang to me. I looked down, not knowing what to do or think. Nick was singing too, but I was just looking down and around. I looked at Garbo and he nodded encouragingly at me. I took a deep breath and then looked at Joe. He looked like he had tears in his eyes.

The song ended and everyone around us clapped their hands. Girls squealed; mothers clapped while the little girls were chatting excitedly and the guys clapped out of respect. Joe looked at me and then said,

"Im sorry. Im sorry I ever doubted you and never believed you. Im so stupid. I just...its just that I...I...I love you so much and I was just putting my guard back up. Can you forgive me?" He told me on paper today, but it still blew me away. I closed my eyes and thought, I cant let him win. If he thinks serenading me was going to work, then he needs some new tactics. It would work on any other girl...not me. Mom...dad...help me please. Then, it was like they were right there, I heard them say,

"He really means it. Cant you see those tears of regret and sorrow?" I opened my eyes and saw tears trickle down his cheek. Everyone was looking at me and...I wasnt sure. Then, they said, "Nicole...you love him too. We can see that. Take him back. We give you our blessing whole-heartedly; even though we said that you deserve someone better...we think he deserves you." Then I smiled. I knew what to do. And, with that, I nodded.

"Yeah. I forgive you. Just...dont do that again." And I took my free hand and put it on his cheek to wipe the tears away. He grinned and then everyone started to clap. I hugged him and then I saw photographers everywhere, taking pictures and everything, but we didnt care. We just hugged it out. I looked at him and I gave him a kiss full on the lips. Oh boy, was that kiss magical. The spark between us returned and it was more electrifying than ever. I pulled away from him and he just smiled and said,

"Im so sorry I ever doubted you. I love you." I smiled and then hugged him.

"I love you too." I whispered

PS- Sorry it's a crappy comment, but somehow I spent my night without sleeping a freaking second, so I'm really tired right now... ahah And sorry about any mistakes lol
