  • I do love how neither the video nor comments have mentioned that these are "cattlo" or cow-bison hybrids. It's a lot easier to get white bison when they are crossed with white cattle than it was when the herd was pure bison.

  • No peace will come to them.

  • um... i think they need to change those estimates.

  • Wow

  • And the original bison that gave birth to a white one (Miracle Moon), both parents were/are brown bison. And the bull is not always a white bison either. In fact a white bull bison was not born into this herd until after several female whites were born.

  • These bison breed like any other herd of bison. They are not artificially inseminated. The white mothers do not always give birth to white babies, some times they have brown babies too. @Koertje a new breed would then not be "bison" any more. The white bison are still bison, just not brown.

  • The mothers are white. Probably they used a white bull too.

On the road to a new breed. Quit normal in the farmers world.

  • If these animals are artificially inseminate, like many other ranchers do, then doesn't that bring the whole thing into question... ??

  • Times are changing !!!!! Good !

  • awesome!
