Machine has done 1000 hrs since this was filmed. Cluches were checked by the service agent and were ok. track chains ar non salt and are due to be replaced.they make a lot of noise when it is moving. The tractor has 15000 hrs total on it.Will have a good listen next time i am operating it cheers

The noise I'm hearing only happens when the tractor is moving. So even though the hydraulic pump may be on its way out - that's not the noise I'm hearing. That's why I suggested clutches. What I'm hearing is driveline-related.

clutches and oil are fine. it has had D7G packs fitted last owner only had one leg. Hyd pump is on the way out thats what you can hear.
-
Steering clutches? Maybe it's low on oil in there. Or the clutches are nicely toasted.
-
Its not that old... it has *sliding* clutches.

Sounds as if it's making an expensive noise. Undercarriage looks well worn too. Too bad. Those E series tractors are nice ones. Powershift helps.

She's a cool old jigger..... Just not productive enough, He could have dozed in a tonne of greenies. Thanks for sharing

My D7E is a power shift, and it has some problems with that :/ at low revs it jumps to neutral, a gearbox over haul is needed...
I have been thinging about parting it out! the UC is also toast.
Is it a tree rake in front of the dozer blade? I have a D7E also =)
