@MarcoisX the anglo-saxons kinda disappeared after the norman conquest of 1066, when the modern english people (brits) were "born"

@Wolfen443 My friend, The Last Samurai never took place during the Boshin War. It took place during the Setsuma Rebellion, 8 years after the Boshin.

@JINATAHISAKAZU i think Katsumoto was based on Saigō Takamori, cause he was basically considered the last samurai, and also did some equal actions, if you forget that Saigo used firearms and death etc :P

@indexelbow BTW Americans aren't mostly Anglo Saxons. the Brits are.

So, this was one more french imperialists moron who fought in Mexico and after taught Japanese to fought against us, Korean.
AMAZING, the real story behind the Movie is even better than the film itself.

French invasion of Vietnam, a "pathetic route"? As far as i can tell, the French defeated the Chinese & invaded Indochina (Vietnam+Laos+Cambodia). They settled there during 80 years. USA (with mass bombing, napalm, chemicals, unlimited credits etc...) didn't stay more than 15 years. This is what i call "pathetic"...Never saw an Anglo-Saxon with a real historical culture. What a pity.
