  • Really nice job - you were made to play this role. Shame the first few seconds of the song were cut off.

  • This lady has a hell of a voice and i hope she puts out a record! She's seems way more talented than the folks I saw on the Tonys the other night.

  • Truly-its sad that the song was dropped from the film. I could see it being done as a flash back- Mona as a young girl full of hope and adventure-but fear . Dolly could have pulled off the vocals so well too.

  • this indiviual is talented but i wonder if she will ever achieve the level of stardom fame and fortune as ann-margret. It is always nice to acknowledge a talent and always rude to put down another--ann-margret has already had her 50 years of fame and for fans seeing the show it was more than her singing talent that has seen its better days but more her stage presence that is overwhelming.

  • what a great young talent!

  • To show the great talent of Miss Laine; you can compare this same song to Ann Margaret on here. The Ann Margaret production was absolutely horrible. people were walking out at intermission in Chicago, IL.

This video demonstrates the true talent of how this musical should be!

  • I saw this performance in person. It was amazing. This actress was so good! But the best part of the play was the TV Colorman. He was hillarious!

  • this girl is REALLY good!! i wish her whole version of girl your a woman was on here. thats my favorite!

  • Because of changes this song would've made sense as obviously in the movie Mona leaves with Ed Earl, and their romance was a plot device for the big screen. It's a nice song though.

  • Oh my God...Laine...I love you. This is amazing. Your voice is perfect for this role. One of my favorite songs in the show. It almost made me cry, just like "Doatsy Mae." If you could post that and "Hard Candy Christmas," I would absolutely adore/worship you. I would love to see their rendition!
