Glidecam HD 1000 Setup and Test Footage. The camera is a Sony HC-9 with a wide angle lens adapter and a stereo microphone. The camera that is ON me is also an HC-9 with a wide angle lens but using a Rode shotgun mic. The footage with the Glidecam is only OK (I know) but its about getting used to shooting and is till better than with nothing. More tests soon.

  • Dude, What's up with your hair? Looks like you got your Rogain mixed up with the Viagra! ;-) j/k. Great information, thx.

  • @Ninamashr OK that was only funny cause you added the j/k to it :)

Hey the video was meant to be informative not stylish :)

  • The sound signal is clipping, the lines in the video are jagged and that's a badly lit place for shooting. Otherwise informative video.

  • @Dommedagsprofet Thanks - yeah - I know its not ideal - these videos were me sorting of talking myself through the process

  • @TheSteadicamGuy Thanks. Without the no offense clarification I might have thought this was just a random snarky comment but now that I have read the rest of the feedback and advice I can see how true and helpful your comments are. The arm works much better now - thanks for contributing to the discussion.

  • is glide the best or fly or steady, dnt know which is the best....any ideas or just diahreahh jk

  • Get a hair cut! Or at least a comb.

  • How come this doesn't show you "walking" ie the motion up and down with each step?

  • I just placed a order for this. Can't wait :D

  • Awesome video.

Next, you should review a comb.

  • @djurmaine I've noticed many of these glidecam/steadicam video are perfectly balanced when the youtuber is standing still but the moment they start walking, you start to see some wobble or up and down movement.

I have made my own diy steadicam I honestly, I have very minimal movement compared to this video. check out my 'jmz films wedding highlight reel 2011' and you'll see my diy steadicam in action. I use it in all my weddings. Btw, I use no arm rest and I'm using DSLR

  • I appreciate the vid dude! Thank you! I love your charisma, energy, and excitement to help inform others in this vid! It really makes a difference to watch a tutorial made by someone who actually wants to share their findings with eagerness. Thank you once again!

  • i like ur explanation of checking when u know it works, but ur shoots are pendling and ur movement forward needs a regular speed.but that issue i know its a matter of practice and overall u helped me really a lot.keep it up man
