Van Dyke pantomimes scenes that the panel must interpret (man taking army physical, new father diapering baby). Afterward, he does his imitation of a spider walking. Dorothy Collins substitutes for Bess Myerson.

  • The reason Dick was on was to promote the fact that "THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW"- which was only a "hit" with critics and a very small audience at the time- was moving from Tuesdays to Wednesdays, beginning January 3rd (that's why there WAS a small audience)- only to face "PERRY COMO'S KRAFT MUSIC HALL", which was the #1 show on Wednesdays from 9-10pm(et) on NBC..until "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES" preceded Dick in the fall of '62! "ICHABOD AND ME" aired on Tuesdays at 9:30pm(et) in the 1961-'62 season.
