The Coalition for October Debate Alternatives (CODA) hosted a debate on Monday, Oct. 6, open to all third party candidates for president as well as the major party nominees.

The candidates who confirmed attendance include Brad Lyttle of the U.S. Pacifist Party, Charles Jay of the Boston Tea Party, Gloria LaRiva of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Frank McEnulty of the New American Independent Party, Darrell Castle of the Constitution Party and Brian Moore of the Socialist Party. Bruce Barry, professor of sociology and professor of management at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt, is the debates moderator.

  • tea party going to merge with the GOP. That what happens when people still value issues of either the left and right and not the issues facing third parties.

  • @ThirdPartyRevolution The US has always been a two party system. That is because of our winner take all elections. If it was like a parliamentary system then we would see more parties in government than the two we have currently.

  • That's because in the corrupt US election system, the one political party, the New Democratic-Republican Party, has done all that it can to make sure that third party and independent candidates can't get on ballots or even participate in debates.

  • This debate pits VERY different viewpoints against eachother. i've never seen a debate with canidates with such diverse points of view.
