B&W stop motion animation by Atanas Djonov
Video Player is an animation the idea for which to a certain extent corresponds with the Greek myth of Narcissus. The actor (a miniature human being replica made out of wire, see below) of the animation finds a video cassette recorder and curiously starts playing with it. After changing the positions of a few buttons on the front panel of the recorder, the man decides to enter it, attracted by a strange blinking light coming from inside.
Other adventures and further exploration of the space inside the recorder follow until he reaches the head of the video player. Attracted by his own reflection that appeared on the glossy and shiny surface of the head he starts admiring himself and falls into self-oblivion.
nice production, soundtrack was great too. Worked really well in B&W. Excellent work.
