First Night 2009

First Night Powwow: In this presentation of Native American powwow dancing, each dancer has regalia indicative of either southern or northern styles of dress, representing tribes from throughout the country, including Montana, Minnesota, Iowa, New York and Oklahoma. Dance demonstrations will show an array of styles of dress and types of dances. A display area will be available to get a close-up look and to ask questions about items made and still used today by Woodland and Plains people.
