As a Cornell University Tradition of over 100 years, the freshman architecture class is unified by the celebration of Dragon Day. A dragon is constructed by the students and paraded around campus, ending in some sort of ceremonial burn. Dragon Day was started in 1901 by Willard Straight, as a celebration of the College of Architecture.
