Darkbasic Pro - Oriental Fantasy Project by IRRADIC - UPDATE

Unfortunately due to some circumstances, I wasn't able to work much on this project in the last couple of months. However I promised an update, so I'll present you a preview of the engine update. The old shaders were replaced with a whole new system. As you can see, shadows are now in the game, as well as bloom and a nice light ray effect. The overall look of the project has changed a bit due to the shader change.

This is just a preview, so please take it as it is.
-The scene is unfinished, obviously
-I gave the samurai only 2 placeholder animations, I will create new animations once the time comes
-The controls aren't perfect, character can't jump yet
-collision mesh hasn't been updated yet, also camera collision hasn't been implemented yet
And so on...

I'm planning to post another update in 1-2 months, hopefully the scene will be completed until then.

Some info on the project:
All objects and characters were created by me (mesh,textures,animations). Applications used are,3ds Max 2008, Adobe Photoshop, Darkbasic Pro and other Plug-In's.

This is so awesome. But why is the framerate so low and why is it so.... blury?

Thanks. The videos quality isn't the best, the blurriness you are talking about might be result of the compression. Or you are talking about the depth of field blur, check the high quality videos. The code is unoptimized at the moment, so is the scene.
