What bothers me...is I can't find an original recording of Muddy and Walter doing 40 days and 40 nights. However can get Others doing there song. Wow..woe is me.

I agree with the comments that give most the props to Columbus Short and Jeffrey Wright. Those two were just outstanding! Jeffrey Wright is one of the most underrated actors performing today, IMHO.

Yes, I agree with the both of you. Columbus is really going to be respected as a serious actor after he showed out in this movie. I mean, everybody was great, but Beyonce's name stole the publicity of this movie, and she only had a 20 minute part. Columbus shocked me, he brought so much life and charisma to a character that could've been one note. But, instead he brought a vulnerability that could make you cry and make you laugh. Side note: muhfucka had to be his favorite word lol

OMG!!! I agree! He was fantastic...he BECAME Lil' Walter! Beyonce was just the big name, to me Jeffery Wright and Columbus showed out!!! Did you know he could sing? I sure didnt't.
