Awesome song by an awesome band with what I consider to be the perfect drummer. I'm no Jeff Porcaro, but I think I did a good enough job to put it on the Tube. Copyright 1982 Columbia Records, from the album Toto IV; written David Paich.
I brought out a couple of my favorite pieces of gear for this video - my 60s Zildjian "Medium" hihats and my 70s B/O badge Ludwig Supraphonic. Thank you, craigslist!

Jeff Porcaro had just a wonderful feel and style. I'm no drummer but I can pick him out on many radio hits. Love this groove, good job.

My critique if that's what we do here? find some fast hats, they really mark the tight triplets, nice ghost notes, all the snare work to the centre of the drum, and slam that 2 and 4. I have the same snare I love the sound you have it tuned nice. I bought my snare in 1983. it has had 3 skins on the top head and they last and last when it's tight. all in all, keep on keepin on brother!
