  • I can help with the ways of transferring patterns too if you need it :)

  • The most annoying part for me was finding the frames, and then ones big enough for the projects you embark on... Which country do you live in? Will happily try and find a supplier for you if you like? Ps, you need a lot of spare time, a full gown can have thousands of hours of work in it!

There are books you can get from Lesage that show you, at around £25 I think. It's French though. Alternatively there's a very informative YouTube video called Tambour Beading by the fantastic Professor Bob H

  • Hello, I did indeed, it's definitely worth buying. Then you let your imagination take over!! The technique itself isn't hard and it's really relaxing when you build up some speed. Will post another video tomorrow of another piece I just finished...

  • All credit due to Professor Haven, and a few dozen old books. Please try it yourself, the time is immensely rewarding when you make someone sparkle :)

Can't wait for your next instalment Bob!

  • Gosh it is so beautiful!!

  • @castoputa Can you make a video Please? And how do you come up with the designs? What inspire you? I'm having trouble finding the right design and deciding which bead and which sequin. I'd Appreciate it Much.

  • @castoputa I forgot to say but I live in the U.S.. I can probably buy some frames from Lacis.com or make my own if I go to buy the materials at a hardware store. The frame look kinda easy to make. What would you suggest?

  • @castoputa How nice of you!. Thank you. And yes, I have heard of Bob Haven. I actually have e-mailed Bob a few times to show him a sample tambour beading project I did. The way I transferred a pattern was to trace the design on the organza I worked on using a washable marker. I figured using a washable marker would be the easiest to take off. What do you suggest for transferring patterns?

  • Hi! I would love to learn this technique. I would like to know which kind of needles, sequins, etc. And from where can I take lessons to learn.

    Thank you!

  • @castoputa Oh, good! I'll be anxiously waiting to see the next piece. I will definitely get the DVD when I have the money for it. : ) Lol. Anyway, good to see that you're doing a great job.

  • @castoputa Hello. Did you buy the Tambour Beading instructional DVD? Thanks.
