Leif Ove Andsnes is a great pianist no doubt. I have followed the entire concerto with the music sheet in my hands and could not find any technical or musical shortcoming. I completely agree with daywithering, Andsnes is an outstanding artist of the piano

I just love his interpretation of this piece. Unlike other fad pianists of this generation, I think he's got true staying power as his art gets deeper. That said, his first recording of the Grieg Concerto (for Virgin Records) is better than his second recording for EMI. By the way, who's that gilded queen sitting in the front row at the beginning of this clip?

best performance/qualitys i heard of grieg concerto so far.

in Kiev of course and in Zaporozhye where my family in law lives. I can say that Ukraine is my 2nd home.
