The knife

There's so much to say about this subject, but this is the gist of it. There is garbage floating around concerning the realities of the knife. The knife is a dear subject to me and I dislike irresponsible use or posturing with them. I didn't include everything I wanted to say here. It is most definitely possible to defend against a knife with empty hands (my father has done so twice). My concern with this video was in presenting a case of the seriousness (both physically and legally) of using a knife in actual self-defense. I'm not the nicest of guys when it comes to this subject, I'm sorry. These are my concerns and I'm sticking to them. Lastly, this video is for a friend.

Laughing out loud at 5:19 I like how at times in your videos about this stuff you manage to be very serious at these life or death situations but at the same time you manage to poke fun by showing the negatives of online martial arts (this video kind of helped me out actually, I use to think that I would unstoppable in any type of fight but now that I see the facts/statistics from these videos it makes me want to learn more about self - defense and the martial arts).

Glad to hear it.  The biggest illusion the martial arts give us is that dealing with violence is "easy." It never has been and it most likely never will be.

People often don't realize the speed of a knife (or stick for that matter). If you intend to defend againts it, you need to train with it, plain and simple.

I'm glad you saw this video. Whether or not it will register with you cannot be helped.

You are completely deluded about what constitutes knifework in self-defense. What you show is dangerous, incorrect, irresponsible and tactical suicide. I call upon any person with real knife experience to view this comment, look at your channel and give you their real thoughts. I have been in real situations where knives were present. You haven't. It's obvious.
